Head of Philosophical studies at the CNRS, Barbara Cassin is a specialist of the European thoughts and has been working for fifteen years on translation related research. Coming to London on the occasion of the UK launch of the English translation of Dictionary of Untranslatables: A Philosophical Lexicon (Princeton University Press, 2014), she will give a talk on the miracles and challenges of translation, delving into the resistances of European concepts and their fascinating history.
