European Graduate Placement Scheme (EGPS) Dissemination Event

Event Date:
Wednesday, 5 November 2014 -
1:30pm to 6:30pm
University of Salford

The EGPS is part of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union and is funded with support from the European Commission.
This scheme builds on the existing national Graduate Placement Scheme and it aims to facilitate the mobility and employability of MA students enrolled in translator training programmes at EU level. Some of the main objectives of the scheme are to give students the opportunity to gain direct experience of the profession thereby enhancing students’ prospects in the international job market, to establish occupational standards for European translation students on placement and to develop more partnerships between HE institutions and employers at national and EU level.
You are cordially invited to an EGPS dissemination event that will take place at the University of Salford on 5th of November 2014 from 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
The dissemination event will provide information about the scheme for both academic institutions and professional partners and will serve as a platform for networking, exchange of ideas and feedback on all aspects of the EGPS. A reception for staff, students and guests will take place from 5pm.
The programme for the event will be distributed closer to the date.
